Thanks to my good friend, Tim, and his ability to save email for more than 4 years, my tribute to Hank has been recovered! It was an emotional outpouring from the heart for him the day he passed... Losing it was like losing him again... I want you all to know how Assisi started, so I am sharing it with you all...
My Hank... what can I say about him? He was the best dog I could have ever owned... He loved me more than he could even show and I reciprocated it ten fold... we had a bond that was evident to anyone who met us.... He knew what I was thinking before I did... he understood every move, every emotion I had... He was my constant companion, always by my side or underfoot and he slept next to me on his side of the bed since the day he arrived at my home.
He was the foundation of Assisi.... the sire, grandsire, and on down of almost every dog in this house... there will never be another Hank, but I was honored and privileged to have shared my life with him!
He left his legacy in his children, their get and the whole of Assisi. But he was so MUCH more than just a great show dog and sire, he was my BEST friend. He will be missed immensely and this house will never be the same.
Godspeed my dearest Hank... I loved you too much....
